Gentle Pathways: Night Watches with God
Passage:
Psalm 63:6-8 "I lie awake thinking of you, meditating on you through the night. Because you are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely."
Reflection Theme: This devotional explores how our relationship with God can transform even our restless moments into opportunities for communion and joy, focusing on meditation, God's protective presence, and the security of being held by God.
Journaling Questions:
When was the last time you experienced God as your "helper"? How did that change your perspective on a difficult situation?
What practices help you to "meditate" on God throughout your day or night?
The psalm speaks of both "clinging to God" and being "held securely" by Him. Which aspect do you need to remember most today, and why?
